The Spurs Exodus Thread

Just find it weird. Didn't really give Bentley a chance other than late 09/10. When Lennon was out last year instead of playing him, he would play Kranjcar or VDV out of position there etc. Why want him now ?

He just want as many players as he can get in his squad and prefers to sign those he already knows. Smashing lads and all that.

BBC Sport's David Ornstein: "Tom Huddlestone's proposed move to Fulham is off. He will be staying at Tottenham."

Tom Huddlestone told that Fulham have decided against signing him from Tottenham today. #THFC #FFC #QPR
Huddlestone was ready to join up with former Tottenham manager Martin Jol at Craven Cottage to secure regular first-team football. While no formal transfer offer was lodged with Tottenham for the England midfielder, one was expected to be made on deadline day. Last night, however, Huddlestone was informed that Fulham had decided not to pursue the transfer because they now considered the deal too expensive.

While Tottenham sources say there remains a possibility that Huddlestone will leave the club today, they have turned down all requests for loan deals so far this window, including one from Queens Park Rangers. Huddlestone, 26, is contracted to Tottenham until 2015

I know what you're saying but it's Harry's style to just sign loads of players and worry about all that later no?

This is what I don't get, why doesn't he mix it up a little - When the Defoes/Crouchs retire is Redknapp going to retire too?

QPR to stay up on final day of the season, Bentley to pour a bucket of water over Arry's head.....its written.

Presumably because Kranjcar and vdV are unavailable.

QPR ready to abandon bid for Tottenham trio

EXCLUSIVE
By Wayne Veysey | Chief Correspondent

QPR are set to pull the plug on their triple swoop for Tottenham’s Jermaine Jenas, David Bentley and Andros Townsend, Goal.com understands.

Harry Redknapp wanted to bring in the midfield trio on deadline day but negotiations have broken down with Spurs.

Townsend had arrived at Rangers’ medical base in west London early on Thursday morning to undertake a medical but failed to take it after QPR pulled out of the deal.

It is understood that Rangers were put off by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s demand that the relegation strugglers take all three players or none at all.

Two of the deals would have had to be permanent because Premier League regulations limit the numbers of loans between top-flight clubs to one per season.

QPR are only willing to return to the negotiating table if Levy is willing to grant them more room for manoeuvre.

Lol just read on Goal.com that Levy said 'take all 3 or none' (Bentley, Jenas and Townsend) and QPR said no.

Hopefully just Levy being Levy and he'll just get rid of Bentley and Jenas (surely!!).
