The Right Back thread

Then you face a dilemma Jan 31.
Lots of things will have changed by then, there will be new injuries and some players will want out due to being out of favour with De Zerbi. January is also a great window to shift players with lots of desperate clubs

We need to worry about the now and not unknown events in the future if we want to have a chance of winning things.

But what would you do squad-wise from Jan onwards when they return?
1. They might not return.
2. Other players may have significant injuries
3. A few players will be out of favour and not playing and looking for moves
4. (Worst case scenario) you don’t register 2 players in the squad (when you tell them this late in the window I guarantee they agree moves (at least on loan)

Very possible.

Maybe keep Sarr till Jan as cover for the press-heavy #10 role till Xavi and Madders are back? It’s possible Bergvall may want to leave if he’s not getting minutes. Same with Danso if RDZ thinks Hardy is ready to step up.

It is a conundrum I’m glad I don’t have to solve!

100%. RDZ is not the type of guy to want to have any “ifs” or “maybes”. He is going at this full bore with the intention of pushing as close to the top as is possible with no excuses.
