The Official 2021/22 Premier League Thread

Just watched Burnley Arsenal - OMG what dire experience. Burnley enough said. Arsenal were so poor better just than their opponents but they look so limp.

Capacity is 54k so it's not near capacity and I wonder how many tickets they gave away

A near-capacity crowd watched Emirates Marketing Project play out a goalless draw at the Etihad Stadium after Southampton were dramatically denied a second-half penalty.

City boss Pep Guardiola urged more supporters to attend Saturday's Premier League encounter after 38,000 watched the midweek win over RB Leipzig, and the attendance was back to previous levels - as it was against Norwich (51,437) and Arsenal (52,276) - as the hosts were left frustrated by a resilient Southampton side

Sterling had started two PL matches, against us and today. Emirates Marketing Project zero goals scored.

No coincidence, his ability to break down moves is world class.

Yeah, they look just like us....
Was thinking this……. Truly though both were poor.
Burnley just are. What truly shocked me though was Arsenals insipidness all over the pitch. They look like they have had the life knocked out of them.
Not saying they won’t best us, they though shouldn’t they bloody shouldn’t.

Brighton beating Leicester, they're looking really good so far this season.

Brighton were good last season, its just that they couldn't convert their chances. This season, they are doing just that. Potter is an excellent manager and will be a great appointment for a side that is not inept in their selection process.

Yup, was one of a few on here saying that about Brighton last season and wanting Potter instead of Nuno

I think Brighton’s recruitment policy also seems to serve them well. Not many would have been happy with us signing Welbeck, yet he’s scored today and could be useful for them this season.
