The Official 2019/20 Premier League Thread

Would take seconds with appropriate software, and is no more complicated than what they're stumbling around trying to do at the moment.

"Have they tried turning it off and starting it again, There is no such thing as appropriate software, just something that does part of the job and you've bought it now so fudge off." said a spokesperson for the IT industry

If the accuracy of the technology (even if not perfect ATM) is greater than a human with a flag then we are implementing the rules with more precision.

The rules to be implemented, ie any part of the body that can legally touch the ball is in an offside position, is the same for technology as human. If one can do that better than another it is progress.

If you don't like the rule that is a different conversation that is nothing to do with technology. A new rule may favour the attacker more and make offside less harsh and more acceptable BUT it would be the rule that's changed not the technology yet everyone blames VAR. It's the preciseness (ironically) of VAR that everyone has issues with as some decisions appear incredibly harsh.

It's like we all wanted correct decisions, and now we get them, we all long for a bit of leeway or grey areas.

To be fair to the software industry, that’s absolute gonad*s.

The actual statement would be that that functionality isn’t standard and therefore a non-standard chargeable modification would be required. Would you like a quotation for the work to be complete?
