The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

City 4-0 up.

Obvious they would win, but could have done with a 2-0 or less. Didnt need them reducing the GD by that much

City 5-0

Shouldnt be an issue but if they keep that up we might end up needing 79pts to secure 2nd. But on the plus side it means they have a far better GD than Liverpool.

I am not entirely sure, but if United win the EL, does 4th place (Liverpool) have to start in the 3rd qualifying round?

If United win the EL finishing outside the top 4 it won't make any difference to the 4th place team - they will start in the play-off round as normal, which for Liverpool could well mean being unseeded and facing the likes of Sevilla, Napoli or Dortmund.

Cheers, wasnt sure. But nice tough draw for them would do nicely

Sadly Dortmund (who started the day in 4th) are currently 1-0 up against Hoffenheim (who started the day 1 point ahead of Dortmund).

Guardiola: “I remember one game where the opponent created more chances. It was at White Hart Lane against Tottenham. The others, no chance. So we are better than all the teams in the Premier League, home and away. We are the best team in the Premier League to create clear, clear chances. Nobody can beat us. We are the best one. But we are not able to score goals.”

That's up there with Mourinho: "We are not getting the results we deserve. We are getting draws but deserving victory. Opposition are leaving the stadium super happy with points they don't deserve and we are leaving the stadium with a feeling we deserved more."

Start of a Brenton going on there

The pressure is kicking in for him

When you see their team and how much they have spent, by rights we should not be near them. Let alone 8pts ahead, but let the media ignore that and try and brainwash everybody into thinking we blew it...
