The Lane, The Finale

wow, what a day to be inside WHL, my grandfather was a season ticket holder in the 50's and 60's, I was a season ticket holder with my old man in the shelf in the 80's and had a season ticket in the east lower in the 90's, I've sat in every upper and lower tier in the ground, too many memories or players to mention, if you're lucky enough to be there today, I'll be there spiritually with you, I remember having some really bad weeks and walking down tottenham high road with a sense of foreboding, 2 hours later and I had forgotten all about my petty personal problems, its a grand old team to play for.........

I've gone with the Gazza 91 home shirt basically because that goal at Wembley will never leave me, going off to watch us nervous as f.ck.....And a day where it all went right. Thanks Gazza.

Ricky is my avatar because being a 8 year old and only able to watch Spurs on the tele....That moment in 81 absolutely mesmerised me.

I'm in block 45 today (i think with @paxtonwolf) if you see a 91 Gazza shirt ...say hello.

Brighton have a promotion parade today (should have been a champions parade really...oops)........how inconsiderate for Chrissy Hughton.

Not gonna drink too much today......
.I'd rather drink in the occasion, really soak it up. I'm not nervous......just feel very emotional.

Lucky I have the sunnies on....as I keep getting something in my eye reading all the articles, posts, twitterings , and vids while on the train.

Exeter play this evening so presumably that means no Stevie Perryman at the Lane either.
Shame.
 
Does anybody know what is happening to the emblem? Is it going up on the roof somewhere on the new stadium, being displayed in the trophy room or what?

Do you mean the badger from the roof?

That's been a replica since the 90s. The original one that in the 70s they sent apprentices (including Hoddle) onto the roof to polish is in the West Stand reception. You used to be able to take your photo with it on stadium tours.
