I think we’d all rather be challenging for the title than finishing 17th but they have spent an awful lot of money and have nothing to show for it so far. I do wish we would spend more and be smarter with how we spend but they’ve not actually achieved any tangible success from all their spending. They have as many trophies as we had under Poch when we challenged for the big honours.

We won’t challenge anyone with our transfers and our reluctance to spend and compete for players that would improve the team in the here and now. Not spending lots of money on players that may come good…eventually or more than likely never.

Would Arsenal have supported Partey if he were a reserve player?

I think the bigger question is the timing of him not being an Arsenal player and suddenly getting charged for something that's been in the air for two years. Really should be an investigation into that.
