The Goon Thread

You've got your season's muddled I think.

In 16/17 we won 12 of our last 13 games, the defeat was to West Ham but we wouldn't have gone top with a win. We beat Arsenal a few weeks before in that run. Chelsea 'only' won 11 of their last 13 and still beat us by 7 points!
We were excellent in that run in, but typically so we're Chelsea.

The Arsenal game where were top for a few minutes was the 15/16 season before Sanchez scuffed in an equaliser.

That team was outstanding, as good as I have seen, 12 wins in the last 13. From Dec 14th in the league we P23 W19 D2 L2. 13 goals in the last 2 games both away (with Kane scoring 7).
And in typical, 'you could not write stuff like this'....We finally go a League season unbeaten at home, only to knock the place down. #Fortess WHL

Yep, not all that long ago they were on target for well over 90 points and the fact that Emirates Marketing Project are champions with 3 games to spare is a monumental collapse on Arsenal’s part no matter what anyone says.

They had 50 points at half way yet are now pretending like City are some unstoppable machine who nobody could have beaten. Give me a break.

Lol, does nights make it look worse than weeks? Surprised they didn't go with 1/100ths of a second, like on transfer deadline day.

There really is no other way to look at it.

On 21st March they were 8 points clear, City with a game in hand.
Just 2 months later, City are looking like being 10 points clear.

How can this be anything but a biblical capitulation? A true bottling for the ages.

Exactly. If us losing a race we never led against an opponent who went unbeaten in their last 12 games is bottling then Woolwich’s last few games cannot be considered anything else.

Haha Keown is really making a tit of himself lately. Sounds like he should have a tinfoil hat on.

Was he making these excuses for us when we finished 3rd in 2016?
