I know we laugh but Wenger is clearly mentally unbalanced these days. Its definetly a case of when and not if we get "the news". I think it will happen this season.

Is it just me or others think this transfer window is so bizarre for Le Arse? It's been so inept even for their own inept standard. How could they have signed no one so far and lose out on Gustavo, who was affordable and would've fit perfectly into their MF, especially with Arteta out.

Which will make it all the more frustrating when they finish above us again.

I hope they win, narrowly but so that they naively believe the squad that they have is good enough. If they lose, they may well plunge heavy in to the transfer market and be better in the longer term for it.

Heard Wenger on talksport last night saying he thought there were 6 teams in the title race this year, the previous top five and Liverpool. Elaborated on us saying we were only a point off them last year, and any side that breaks 70 points needs to be considered the next year.

Flattering in a way but on the other hand.... he thinks Arsenal will be in the title race this year :ross:

That's just how deluded Wenger has become. 70 points is nowhere. Last two seasons 89 points has won the league. Our target this season should be 80 points, Mr Wenger can target 70 if he likes.

Spurs amassed 39 points in the second half of last season.

If we can achieve the same in both halves of 2013-14, it would give us 78 points.

From there, it's only a matter of a draw becoming a win to reach 80 points.

then you would like to think if we could do something in the nld....they might panic buy wasting millions on dross like santos again.
