The Centre Forward thread

Great all around #9. Reminds me of a Fernando Torres. Fast, Strong. His hold up play is not sensational but it’s more like it’s a 7/10 when the rest of his game is a 9/10.
More Drogba towards Haaland for me. Pace and Power striker, with a bit of finesse as well.

Lol! Think I've seen him quite a bit more than you. Nowhere near good enough. The amount of glorious chances he misses, this forum would melt within 3 weeks! No one who support Glimt are bothered about him leaving, because we're sure they can find someone much better.
Why the lol?
Saw him a number of times over the last 2 years and looks a capable forward. His most recent stats, not too shabby.
I only said he may have been worth a punt at £11m which is small change compared to the £50m plus banded around for average forwards.Screenshot_20260810_094527_Google.jpg

When you get served up 5-6 glorious chances every game, you should put some of them in the net. Problem was that he usually missed 5 or 6 before eventually scoring. They were lucky that he was pretty effective in the CL, except missing 2 or 3 penalties. In the long run though his output seems decent, his conversion rate has been pretty bad, and a long way off their previous strikers, like Boniface, Kasper Junker and Faris Moumbagna

I know there are three weeks left until the window shuts but it's quite concerning that we could be going into Brentford with a front 3 of Tel, Richy, Moore, it's absolutely not good enough

I'm sure they are trying right now but it's frustrating especially with how the early window was which was incredible work

Also with Udogie injured again, if we sell Spence it's a total joke of a decision by the club

I'd like us to go for Ismaila Sarr. 6 foot, lightning quick, scores goals. Predominantly plays I. The right but he played upfront for Senegal and looked good.
Premier league proven too. Expect Palace would want a hefty fee though

My 3 ‘gettable and affordable’ centre forwards that I think would be a better fit up front for us compared to Richarlison are:

Amine Gouiri from Marseille (probably costs €35m)
Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim (€25m release clause)
Vitor Roque from Palmeiras (probably could be bought for €45m or so)

Risks with all three but I can’t really see anyone out there that we could realistically attract that would be a big improvement. Jackson is perhaps that player but he would’ve failed before he even started in many Spurs fans eyes.

I'd throw in

Christian Kofane from Leverkusen
Pio Esposito from Inter
