Jimi beat De La Soul pretty easily in the first round and Nirvana came out on top in one of the biggest draws of the first round versus Rage Against the Machine.

Only one album can go through to the quarter finals.

Hendrix for me.
Funky and inventive.

Never mind is good but is a bit too " look at me, I angsty and angry and I can scream" for my liking. Which is a shame as I has some beautiful moments

Never heard much of Hendrix outside the hits, but it can't be worse than Nirvana.
