I started this thread with the thought that a loss of this magnitude and in this manner would be the catalyst for a re-think. But listening to AVB's interview on the BBC, his focus was on the early goal as if that was the be all and end all. He also used the Wenger line from our 5-1 league cup win -- that every shot they took went in. Only, we know that several opportunities did not lead to a goal. At least in public, there is no sign that AVB is minded to change direction. I hope this is just the public face and, in private, changes are mooted. My hope was that instead of the death by a thousand cuts wrought by continual goal shy performances, this severe reverse would prompt a quick change but I don't that AVB is one for changing.
Nice one! It is so PC in this country that normal stuff that normal people do like that is almost a hanging offence.
