Pretty much everyone to a man who is sitting around me tonight was in full agreement that Alli just isn’t cutting it anymore. Slows the play down, doesn’t know when to release the ball and when to try a fancy flick, is slower than a garden slug.

I'd like to see all our attacking options out and no one slowing play. Our runners on the wings , son taking shots from outside, kane up front with lo celso threading balls to him. Mobile CBs pushing up confidently when we are attacking to support the play.

I think the switch in formation definitely helps us with selecting players in positions they either know and are suited too or enjoy.
And hopefully we are seeing the beginning of a very strong square central core of Romero Dier PEH Skipp. Plenty of awareness, eagerness, power and strength as they go about fire fighting.
They can all pass as well.
And once we feel really secure maybe PEH or Skipp can swap out for someone more creative especially against so called 'easier' teams. Think we should try and stick with it, as is, for a bit though.
Although I doubt Romero can play against Saudi Sportswashing Machine.
