*******Spurs v PSG*******Official OMT*******

I'd go with:

Vicario
Spence Romero Van Der Ven Udogie
Paulinha Grey
Kudus Bergvall Xavi
Muani

Bring on Odobert, Richarlison, Sarr as needed

Likely lose 3-1, but more intent, attacking

Don't mind that team or intent. But I think Johnson is suspended? Also, Porro didn't play at all over the international break and then on the bench for the Goons game.

I'd be surprised if he didn't play this one, even if Spence is perceived to be the better one defensively....

I've often complained about being subjected to the tedious spectacle of our dry humping the edge of an opposition box; even outside the worst of times, it can be like watching someone wearing boxing gloves try to force a skinless chipolata through a crack in a fence post. But somehow, and if recent "performances" are anything to go by, I doubt we'll achieve even that level of penetration, even in the City of Luuurve.

This might be one of the best pieces of writing I have seen in these parts for some time. The boxing glove-chipolata-fence post crack is glorious hybrid metaphoric poetry.
Take a bow!

This feels like a 5-0 loss incoming
I don't know, I feel like this weirdly might be a decent game for us. Probably still lose, but no pressure on the team really and Frank might try something a bit different. And PSG leave space in behind so punting it long could actually be a bit more fruitful for us in this one if it's knocked into the space....

Is this a must win in context of the table? I've not really considered how the new system works yet.

I get it's a must for a good performance for Frank.

That would require us to actually have someone up there to exploit it. Which we certainly didn't against arsenal.

Last year several teams went through on 11 points; 1 team on 11 points went out due to GD. if we can beat Slavia at home nd pick up another point or two elsewhere (Frankfurt away?) then I think we have a strong shout of making the play offs as a minimum.

So no, I don’t personally think that this is a ‘must win’.

Against the Goons it was knocked directly to Richi who can't hold it up. I'd expect there to be plenty of space for us to knock it into space for whoever is up front to run onto rather than bang it into them to hold up. But maybe just wishful thinking....

Arsenal left space in behind, they were camped in our half, we didn't and don't use it.
When Richie scored I think their keeper was the player in their half.
Two things successive managers at Tottenham have done, play the ball to feet, never in front of a player to run onto, and not set up a defence to stop shots/attacks from the centre of pitch.

Yes that's totally fair. I guess because I remember it happening against PSG last time a few times we knocked long balls into channels etc and it worked. But they were only just back for pre season so not really too much to read into that I guess...

Two things, the negative first, why is Kudus playing 60 yards from goal with his back to it?
Positive, yes PSG were just back, that was our first competitive game under a new manager, with new ideas and tactics and some new players. It's not as if we were a settled, well oiled and drilled side.
I don't think we get as much credit for that performance as we are due.
Much like what happened with Angeball (and with nuno to a lesser extent) the players have shown what they can do, and then appear to suddenly stop doing it.
