Spare a thought for Mousa Dembele

Weirdly just had a physio session with an ex Spurs physio.

We was talking about the Leicester season and he brought up the game we lost 1-0 against West Ham that done us in.

Says that Ryan Mason played cause Dembele was injured but he asked him at the time and he wasn't he was just dropped for Mason. Said that the players and staff felt that was what cost us that game.

Would have gone if I knew he was playing.

Criminally underated by many Spurs fans unfortunately.
Fans always go on about never replacing Eriksen, Son and whoever else but seldom mention this guy. Dembele would be the toughest of all of them to replace with the skill set he possessed in the centre of midfield. We will never ever see another CM like him and at his level play in our shirt....

One of the best CMs with the ball that I have seen. I will always have a soft spot for him unless he does something really bad.

‘One of the best midfielders of that generation’

Hazard feels they all get the credit they deserve, though, while there is another international teammate who does not.

Former Tottenham and Fulham standout Mousa Dembele had plenty of admirers, but wasn’t quite seen as elite level and only won a league title once, with AZ in the Netherlands.

While he may not have been viewed widely as world class, Hazard believes he was comparable to the top midfielders of his pomp years.

‘I always thought Mousa Dembélé was one of the best midfielders of that generation,’ Hazard told The Guardian.

‘People didn’t talk about him much because he didn’t score goals, but the fans in the Premier League know he was a top, top player.’

Which one?

The one I recall was Juve away. He had the ball for some insane amount of time. It was like an adult playing against little kids at times.

Found a paywall reference to 10.2%, which sounds about right - not sure where other/any double figures possessions can be found.
