Son Heung-Min

I accidentally clicked on the first page and so the image I was presented with was that of him signing for us, his mop of hair and that shy smile.

What a man he has become in the almost ten years for the club. After a tough start when he wasn't playing and actually looked to leave, he has become a true great, a player who is universally liked, by every fan, player and manager, from any club - a trait I think that makes him unique actually. He's been the happiest guy at the club, the most hard working, and the nicest, despite being a global super star and the David Beckham of South Korea. The number of spectacular goals is incredible too.

The time is right, but wow have I loved watching him, I wish him well, and can't wait to see the way out very savvy media team give him his send off.

Our Captain, my captain.

Probably the most sensible decison for both parties, but it's a sad day to see a club legend and a great human being leave Spurs. Brilliant player in his prime, and a great servant for the club. I hope those fans present at the game gives him the standing ovation he so very much deserves.

Sonny, we love you and will miss you. Thank you for your loyalty, your consistent commitment to the club through all the ups and downs, your fantastic performances and, above all, for being such a great role model. The very best of luck in the future, you are a spurs legend & always will be. Please come home one last time so we can give you a proper send off

Feels so so so much sweeter after Bilbao. To use Son's poignant and delicate wording from the stadium tour, I f#cking love you (and we fudging won the Europa league 😃).

He can look back on his decade of service with pride, a genuine role model for how to approach the game and life itself.
It's yhe perfect ending for him and us. Going off into the sunset as finally a winner. He stayed and fought and never gave up trying to do the best for the club. Now it's time for a new start and it helps not ruin his legacy. We don't want to see a Son who can't run and who can't perform to the levels we knew he once capable of.

Son my favourite player I've the last 10 years. A sheer force of will and injection. The real captain. ❤️

I think we’ve all known it was coming, and that it’s probably the best decision for all parties involved. He leaves as a legend and no one could argue any different.

All that said, waking up to the news being confirmed and watching the press conference has made me sad. At least these coming days will have a lot of compilation videos of his best goals and all of them can end with him lifting the cup.

Nice one Sonny

Once again, I must say, what a player Sonny has been for the club. And I’m certain that the most important things he’s done have been off the pitch. That says a lot, considering what he’s achieved on it. My son was hoping to see Son play live for the first time in August, so there were some tears at home today. But we agree that this is the right time for this. And as others say, Tottenham is Sonny’s home, so I hope he returns later in another role. Love and respect!

Knew it was coming but still didn't stop the lump in my throat and the swelling of the eyes when I read it this morning.

Legend is a word often overused in football but Sonny epitomises it to the letter.

Thanks for all the great memories and good luck for the future.... you deserve it so much.

We (I will speak for everyone) will have nothing but fondness for Sonny and the moments he has given us over the last 10 years. That smile will always be welcome anytime back at the Lane. In fact, I really look forward to halftime appearances in the coming decades.

I knew there was something not quite right with him the last couple of weeks, he looked subdued, distracted.
