Signed ball repair

I have a signed 1991 FA cup ball.

Its probably the only thing that's gone with me and my loads of house moves over the years. Wanted to put it in my kids room and it is a little battered and when trying to pump it up no joy, I am assuming the inner-tube is broken as it appears to go in the valve.

Any ideas? I have done a few Google searches but no avail.

What about that stuff you fill a car tyre with to get you home? Bit of a do or die solution mind. If it's your last resort, try it on another ball.

I've seen a similar type thing for footballs. You pump a bit of goo into the ball and it goes hard sealing the hole.
