Sick sick world what is wrong with people

What are you actually trying to say? That anyone from any country, race, religion, gender etc can commit horrendous crimes? If so, great, we agree.

Yes. Just that some are more likely because of the bad situations in those countries.

The environment can get better asz A person born in Bosnia in 1992 during the war vs a peaceful time in 2022 as an example. The person in 1992 is more likely to have issues which could be violent tendencies because they will of had a lot of negative experiences.

This is just my view on all this crap. I think people need to think about the people that lead the rhetoric. What is their motive. Farage, Trump and Musk have two key objectives - tax avoidance and grow their wealth.

Stopping the boats became a bigger issue after the Panama files and the UK and EU talked about banning tax havens. Us mere mortals were looking at people not paying their taxes. So of a sudden, these people start barking about immigrants. The issue isn't tax avoidance, the issue is where the tax income is going.

The easiest way to change the narrative is imagery and messaging that creates fear. Farage avoiding paying tax is less scary than the coloured people will steal your kids and rape the women. Game over.

What people need to stop doing is believing everything on social media. If you have an opinion on this topic, first research it.

Let's also clear another thing up, the racism we have today is not just white Vs coloured. Browns and blacks are siding with Reform and Tories. Heck Kemi even thinks people should forget their heritage and just be English. Everyone is following the winning rhetoric. I am actually ashamed of Indians, including members of my family, that support Reform. Most of them want to maintain their culture whilst supporting Reform and Tories - how is that possible? They are telling you to be more English and that this is a Christian country. It's this level of stupidity where culture and "values" don't mix. Before anyone calls me racist for saying that, I hate everyone equally, except Arsenal fans...I hate them more. I am formerly sikh but I am a Punjabi Jedi - that is the religion I put down. I believe religion is the cause or justification of this flimflam because the rich use it as a tool to control and to turn the masses on each other.

So here is a question, is anyone actually looking at what's happening? Before having an opinion on whether immigration policies are working, go Google it. Look for the data. Are the number of illegal immigrants increasing? Do we have more boats? Do we spend more on hotels? What percentage of tax income is going on this. What happens to tax income of the avoiders actually pay. What ethnicity groups commit the most rapes and child assaults? Look at the trends of the last 25 years, look at who is in power during the different time periods. Actually understand what you are seeing. We have all this knowledge at our fingertips and we use it scroll Instagram, watch the boosted posts and think there is no way that person is lying - we are the fools for doing that

People have a responsibility to do their research to understand and back their own views. As a society, our rich are trying to manipulate everyone - the most vulnerable fall first and start parroting the flimflam, and then it works it's way up. We all have to be better. For those that think they are smarter than the average bear, the responsibility is to understand where people are coming from, and educate not on the opinion but on the data to back the opinion. Teach people to be better, and we have a chance of stopping this flimflam.

Crime is going to happen. There has been no period of time or country or religion that has never had crime. No one country is better. dingdongheads exist everywhere. Growing up in a war torn country didn't make you a criminal. Your actions do. Growing up somewhere exotic doesn't make you a druglord or rapist - probably means you have better tasting food... That's it.

Right. But a man who grew up in XYZ rough town in England might have a greater tendency for violence than someone who grew up in XYZ affluent town. It is literally just environment — nationality does not have to enter the argument whatsoever.

If you want to go down the line of nationality with regards to who is allowed in to the country…good luck with that.

Why do you only highlight events when the criminal isn't white or British?

That's rhetorical - it's because you're a racist.
I feel sorry for your daughter.

I agree with all of this but like the others I think getting this personal feels like a line crossed. I feel sorry for people he has influence over but I feel like mentioning kids is just crass.

And also I got no doubt he's a very good father tbh.

This idea that a more horrific crime (which this is in Belfast btw) is some sort of ‘gotcha’ moment that proves a point is nonsense to me. We’re led to believe he tried to cut this guys eyes out… now, anyone that does that isn’t a well human being. That level of aggression and let’s call it …nastiness. That isn’t something that is just readily programmed in. Whilst we should all be able to work it out, let’s make it clear because there are a couple of actual racists on this site, the Qu’ran, nor any other holy book or text tells you to cut people’s eyes out in this manner either.

Such a great post mate, I wanted to drill in on this part because its a part I have been pondering alot reading this thread unfold. The point you make is one that people love to refute with the whole "here we go, always blaming mental health" but its clear as day, to any normal person that if you are going down the street and you decide to gouge someone's eyes out you are equal parts evil and mentally unwell, like any criminal who has decided to act out a crime of this level of grotesque. Its no different to any major killer or serial killer in history in that respect.

People for whatever reason, and to be honest, I can't be bothered to go down the route of why, but many just go down the route of claiming that its nothing to do with evil an mental health but everything to do with where the person comes from and their religion.

I also think in terms of hypocrisy @monkeybarry I think was spot on about guns in America. Its easy to point to the Quran and claim its the source of crimes that come out of Islam, but are Americans so quick to look at the second amendment and the right to bear arms when another bunch of school kids are massacred? Or like Belfast, is it a case that evil and someone who is mentally unstable..............

Going off on a massively random tangent with the last point, but I find the UK a really fascinating country in its fascination with glamourising of crime and criminality, people are obsessed with hero worshipping the likes of the Krays or keeping the Rise of the footsoldier franchise going, because that level of evil looks glamourous. The glamour of Saturday at the football, sniffing stuff bought off organised criminals, who put that money into human trafficking and forced prostitution, only to then get on phones and berate a whole religion because they care so much about women. Although all of that criminality is every bit as grotesque as what happened in Belfast, just in different ways. I am being fairly light hearted with that point, but I do honestly think there is truth to it.

Anyway thats my 50p worth, I have enjoyed not being part of this debate and seeing others takes, so will continue to watch from the side lines

It's fair to say the majority of the racist violence in Belfast was committed by Unionists. Blame all Protestants for Pogroms in that case and ban them from travel to UK mainland. Genuinely outrageous concept.
