Savinho

Whenever I've watched him he's looked to have skill and talent in abundance. But not greedy (just like Kudus isn't), looking to do good things for the TEAM.

It makes sense we might be heading towards a 4-3-3 counter attacking approach so bypassing the immediate need for a 10. (as we don't have any fit:)).
Kudus and Savinho also skillet well for when we meet low block teams.

Kudus in the 10 is a no for me. He needs to be killing people out wide.

Id 100% go for this ....it's an outstanding opportunity to get a quality player.

Oh I accept wholeheartedly that what I put out is not especially about balance with respects to a passing 10 v a dribbler/powerful runner...I just think Kudus could thread a quick and clever pass from a central area. We have to find a way to play Johnson right now; of all the fit players left to start the season, he is our leading scorer/assister. I still think (personally) that Frank is not going to try and sign a Maddison-like 10...
Think Kudus could be very useful in the #10 position. But that would then require another winger.

I've been going on and on about needing another #10, not really considered the alternative of signing another really good winger to free up Kudus to play there before this link.

Tel has looked a bit lost as a centre forward in preseason and last season.

Tel as a striker having to do a lot of hold up play, back to goal work and dropping into the pockets certainly doesn't seem like a good plan.

Tel as a striker with Savinho, Kudus and Kulusevski, or a combination of those and Johnson or Odobert forming a three behind him I think would make a rather different situation.

Could it be that Solanke finds himself in that 10 position and the speedsters get beyond him, He may not be named there but could be utilised there when we have the ball.

Sure. Bit like Kane with Alli and Son.

But more than that I think Kudus has the strength and technique to receive the ball under pressure in tight areas in the middle of the pitch and do really useful things with the ball.

Yeah, agree. Haven't noticed yet whether he has the smarts to win the free-kicks and yellows as well. You do see so many fouls, professional or other, in that number 10 zone not given by these modern referees. Some players know how to work the system better than others.

It doesn't matter what you call it but we need a striker who can get 20+ goals in league, none of the names or formations I've seen mentioned on here look to be able to deliver that.

Frank got 50 goals from Mbuemo (20), Schade (11) and Wissa (19) last season. Only one other player, Norgard, got more than 2 goals. He got 5.

So this is the new manager we've acquired. I've watched him work with so many forward combos over the years and they all seem to get goals. Frank seems to bring the best out of these guys.

I think, but can't be sure, that we're about to see the goals go in from different players in our team.

Hopefully plenty from Solanke then.

A City mate says he's terrible, with no end product, and offered to drive him down for us. However, as he admitted, he also thought Cole Palmer was massively overpriced and didn't have the right attitude. Transfers are an inexact science...

He seems to be in the minority from a brief scan of some CIty views online - though not alone.
Feels like 50m euros is rather good value

The guy can play
Maybe last season was that adapting period
He is IMO smiles more effective than doku who they like but he is also more raw
What we would get (I don’t think this will happen ) is another flying winger
What he doesn’t bring is goals
