Worth remembering that Tonali isn't at the World Cup. If you're the Spurs comms team you would be thinking that the time to announce your biggest signing ever is coincide with all the boys heading back for pre-season. Then you get the normal marketing vids and all the extra ones of him at the training ground and going through his paces with his new team mates.

Total guess on my part, but the delay is likely on the administration side, relevant to people in the legal and possibly medical departments. Premier League administration in terms of registration not working the weekend, and the club wanting to make sure they have crossed all the t’s and dotted all the i’s before officially announcing it.
