Sandro Tonali

I don’t think we will sign Tonali BUT I do think we will sign a player that turns heads. I think it will be like when we signed Klinsmann. No one will expect it, then news will break that we are deep in negotiations and we’ll get it done. I think the owners realise how obviously brick last season was and will spend big to ensure it doesn’t happen again. And a big signing to get supporters back on board. That’s my view about it all. Maybe I’m just dreaming but then to dare to dream is to dare to live with optimism.

Turns out we are signing Tonali BUT the rest of this was fairly accurate in going out there, spending big and making things happen.

Exciting to think what else may happen in the next couple of months

MGW & Eze would be Spurs players of RDZ was the manager.

I think we need to be careful with that line of thought. Recruitment is a team sport and the collective should get the credit, not just one person. At the moment we have the Lewis siblings, Charrington, Vinai, Lange, RDZ etc all uniting to create an exciting window.

I remember 'why Solanke is the perfect signing for Spurs' and it was even said about Vincent Jansen too. Last year we had a few posters tripping over each other to claim Thomas Frank was the perfect fit. I'll wait for the pudding.

MGW had nothing to do with who our manager was, they sold Elanga to Saudi Sportswashing Machine the same week and Marinakis was never selling both their star players in the same window, never mind the same week. Eze is supposedly an Arsenal fan, the rumours around that were if Havertz never got that long term injury they would never have gone in for him and he would likely have signed for us.

He didn’t need to sign a new contract.

Sure. But Scholes never said he was the perfect signing for Spurs, it just so happens he is signing for Spurs. He said he was the best midfielder in the league and that's high praise coming from him :)....

'Zoff described Vicario as a complete goalkeeper and a prime candidate for the Italian national team, which has fueled ongoing transfer links between Vicario and Serie A clubs like Juventus and Napoli.'

Vicario has never proved himself in the Premier League :D Anyway you're right about proof is in the pudding, but he's a top midfielder...

Vicario IS a complete goalkeeper... for Seria A. His shot stopping is exceptional and he organises welll...which is what is most important in that league ... unlike the EPL where his aerial liabilities and poor distribution are major issues...

The video announcing it looked like a hostage video, if your aware of Marinakis’ lets say legal history he is not exactly someone you say no to.
The fact that his new contract was only for one more year than the old one perhaps indicates that MGW wasn't all-in about committing his future into Mr Marinakis' hands
(I love this banner from Palace fans and will post it with little excuse)
