Sandro Tonali

I do think he will need upgrading but don't see it as an urgent one looking at the overall picture. With the upgrades in midfield and hopefully another winger too along with some returns from injury and the way RDZ plays, I think we will create more and Solanke will score a decent amount....
I think it's definitely worth finding that out.

no i actually am fearful that it will take half a season and tonali, fernandez and kudus to show how poor richy is.
with the investments we are making we have to be challenging for Top 6 at least, and its hard to integrate a new player mid way through the season
Richarlison's goal ratio isn't great, but it's fairly decent. In a better/more controlled environment, Solanke had a decent record at Bournemouth. We're not winning the league with either of them, but they can do a job in front of goal.

Richarlison's main flaw is his lack of contribution to our overall game. The new signings should help with that. On the other hand, we have absolutely zero quality on the left hand side, particularly if De Zerbi wants to put more emphasis on build-up, patterns and combinations.

Richy has a poor individual game too. Can't stay on his feet much, not smart enough to evade his markers.

Sure. But the idea Solanke failed due to Franks tactics is false cos he never really played for him and when he did his performances were fine for a player coming off 5 months out.
Sorry it wasn't really a comment on what you said...more just an observation of the reality of Solankes time with us. Definitely agree about his Frank time...it was Ange that ran him into the ground.
I don't think either manager played in a way where we might see Solankes best.

I hope he stays as there's a good chance RDZ will play that way.

I believe Richis goals/assists per minute are better than Solanke, who other than 1 decent PL season, has been poor.

Simon Jordan just won’t let it go will he? It’s worth listening to Talkbrick just to hear him…. Talkbrick. He sounds personally hurt that we’re going for Tonali

He’s one of those that I think is getting disgruntled by how ambitious we are being. I can imagine him thinking ‘know your place Spurs’ etc and being bitter about it all
