Very happy to see him score. Top top finish - that's the Soldado we bought last summer!
Hopefully the relief of that goal will spur him on for the rest of the season. If he keep putting these chances away, he'll end up with 20+ goals for the season.

20 + goals for a player who by and large been dog **** in front of goal, spurs finishing 4 th with a team that has been by and large dog ****. Christ if that happens old Danny boy must have built him self a shrine to the football anti GHod and have Eric tied up in the corner.

Based on his general quality, which i think is much better than any of us anticipated, I can see him being a success next season.

Hopefully a strong finish to this season, maybe ten league goals and push on next.

Start him. We're not expected to get anything and we certainly don't have the defence or midfield to sit back and soak up their pressure and movement - we'll get destroyed.

Nope, I say go for it. Bobby will raise his game for a big match as will an inspired-Ade and the others if they've been fired up to go out there and grab the game by the balls. Chelsea won't know whats hit 'em!

So, that'll be 2-0 up inside 30 mins, 2-2 FT score.

It's interesting to watch his goal and see that he doesn't snatch at it the way someone might who is experiencing some sense of desperation. Instead of one-timing it at the goal, he calmly, instinctively, flicks it up and in front before delivering that cool little flick into the corner.

That's a very encouraging signal.

We hear he's been working hard in training, we see him moving well and making good plays with team mates during games. And now this fine finish to emphasize that he hasn't let his troubles get him down or abandon what he knows will work for him.

I think the reason he scored yesterday was because it was purely instinctive. He had hardly any time to think about it and just did what came naturally, perhaps it will be the catalyst.

i think he probably warranted his reputation early in his career - ive been of the opinion that the ACN bus shooting incident probably gave him a bit of a wake up call as to what's important in life/changed his outlook on things somewhat.

was dead against signing him on loan when we did but he fully won me over in that season - so much so that i religiously stood by him last season when he wasn't the player we knew he can be.
