I actually have less problems with the "we are not ready", no recognized 10, our new shiny winger is out, real starting lineup hasn't had time together.

I do have a concern with the "it's a mentality problem", we didn't lose today because of mentality, we lost because of lineup, tempo, sub selections and a lack of final ball/clinical play.

And the press are going to crucify him if he continues to be so open in responses (zero value in saying Danso wants out)

I can see why it would be a mentally problem. Because with so many new players in the squad the leadership dynamics aren’t worked out yet. So his point around seeing our heads drop going 1 nil down, it’s not something that can be signed. It has to happen within the squad.

I thought we played pretty darn well today until their goal. But when we go down we need to know who are leaders are. They need to kick the arse of the other players. And those other players need to respond. There’s just lots of newness. They don’t all know each other, they don’t know what makes each other tick and they don’t know who to look to when things are going tits up.

VDV is supposed to be one of the guys, but then Tonali is the most expensive, Fernandes seems like one of the most vocal etc. I just don’t have the sense this has all worked itself out yet. New dynamics need to form. This is also why Robertson was signed.

I think we’ll get there. But it needs to happen quickly.
