We need some proper leaders on the pitch and since RDZ has come in I’ve been impressed at the way some players have risen to the occasion.

What doesn’t kill you makes your stronger. Hopefully we come out on the other side with a real galvanised squad of players that know that hard work eventually pays off.

We need a complete refresh from top to bottom unfortunately and it will take more than a few seasons if recruitment is on point.

They also need to contribute, Robinson has fallen off a cliff.

Get another Palhinha in and we are gravy and its exactly what we need, for me I would 100% do it and build a side round it with the youth, but Robertson.....na

I think we are tough on ourselves sometimes. I think THFC is still an attractive proposition to a manager at RDZ's level. He's on something like £12-15m a year and has a really big opportunity at our club. In my opinion, he can build something bigger than Poch had because he is not as financially encumbered in a post stadium world.

It's still a massive IF, but if we can survive this season then we will inevitably turn a massive corner with RDZ.

How many of those deals did Levy do? Which ones did I cry about?

I think you’ve got me confused with somebody else. I’ve always tended to be pro us signing experienced players, especially ones who come from winning clubs who know what it takes to win the league.

Hedging your squad till the end of the season isnt the same as desperate to keep.

I could list a page of those signings and likely search for "levy signing" and show dozens of people moaning about such signing.

Its literally engraved in the Spurs lexicon

Im not going to list 24 years of free transfers and last minute loans that everyone has cried about. Start with Poyet and Sherringham and work forward from there....ending with Werner

Also search "typical Levy signing" in the search panel.....20+ pages of people moaning about signings akin to singing Andy Robertson at 32 because he once played for a big club.

I was happy with Poyet and Teddy and Davids and Friedel and Perisic.

I’d be delighted if Robertson joined us. As I said in my last post you have confused me with somebody else if you think I cry about free transfers

Last minute loans are different from free transfers IMO, they often signal poor transfer window planning or execution (loan to buy deals excluded).

The one that got away .. he's still playing well
 
Apart from the individual accolades in yesterday’s match I really enjoyed looking at the intensity, pressing, energy and hunger. But what impressed me mostly was a manager who was willing to play some fluid football and change the system and style of play when needed. Play short, play long, play counter, play high line, play deep.

He was so tactically brilliant, albeit against a disjointed Villa side, but had we played that team 4 weeks ago I doubt we would have suffocated the life out of Villa.
