Richarlison

I never think of him forming a partnership - but there was some indication of that developing with Kudus last season.

It is that sort of relationship that will push him towards 20 goals which is where we want him.

I assume until the injured players come back / get to full fitness we would be seeing a midfield / attack of

Fernandes Tonali
Savinho Marmoush Gakpo
Richie
If of course we manage to sign all 3

richie will be like messi - just resting and waiting for the right moment
30+ goals lol

It would be crazy if we end up with an entire new midfield. (basically they were so bad we've just bought a new team)

Would love that midfield, plus Gray, Bergval, Xavi, Maddison to rotate. No pressure on Kudus or Kulu to rush back and break down again either.

If he can stay fit (massive if) I'd keep him - he's a really useful bench option.
Can come on and nick a goal, will work hard and defend from the front - those are good attributes for the end of games
Well, we can only keep 17 overseas players over the age of 21, I am not sure there will be space for him.

Do we reckon he goes if Marmoush comes in?

Like with Davies, many will hope he goes and if he stays, those folks will be desperate to bitch and moan at any slight mistake because confirmation bias is now more rewarding than actually supporting your own team.

I don't see Marmoush as a replacement if he comes in either tbf...Given Richy has just been given the number 9 shirt, I'll be surprised if he's getting pushed out the door. Manager's are concerned with goal involvements and the will to win, not people crying on the net because the guy isn't and never will be Kane.

Odobert counts as association trained for PL and Xavi will not be registered for (at least) the first half of this season. I think we can keep Richi for the first half of the season without any issues.
No, Odobert does not. He arrived in England just before his 19 birthday.

Because he was born on November 28, 2004, his timeline breaks down as follows:
August 12, 2023: Came to England (aged 18 years, 8 months)
November 28, 2023: Turned 19
November 28, 2024: Turned 20
November 28, 2025: Turned 21
Under UEFA and Premier League registration rules, the cutoff for calculating homegrown status is the end of the season in which a player turns 21—which for Odobert was the 2025–26 season. By the end of May 2026, he had completed under 3 years in English football (August 2023 to May 2026), leaving him just short of qualifying as association-trained.

If he has completed three years in England by the end of the 25/26 season in which he turned 21, how is he not Association Trained? Does arriving August 12th not count as being eligible for a full season?

Here is the rule from the PL Handbook, Odobert might not have completed 36 months in England but he has completed the complete 3 full seasons required. The problem with the rule is why state 36 months if you are going to count seasons, according to the rules a season doesn't start in August it starts in September when the window closes , all a bit silly.

“Home Grown Player” means a Player who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any Club (or club) affiliated to The Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three Seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the Season during which he turns 21) and, for the purposes of this definition of “Home Grown Player”, a Season will be deemed to commence on the date on which the relevant Summer Transfer Window closes and expire on the date of the final League Match of the Season;

You think people are upset he's not Kane? 😆

I'm upset he's not even Kanoute, Pavlychenko, Defoe or Keane. When I think of Richy criticisms Kane is a like a million miles away. 😂😂😂
