criticizing the player's perfomance - not the man - is fair play. and back to topic.... richy+solanke isn't nearwhere as good as kane+son at their age... and son isn't a natural central attacker. my point is richy for all his goal scoring ability is also the reason why we don't dominate and put away games assuredly

Offensively, obviously nowhere near the level of our 2 legends.

Defensively, way better than our 2 legends at their current ages. We've just had back to back seasons conceding over 60 goals in the PL. A well known fact, but fans also forget we've just completed a hatrick of seasons of over 60 goals conceded. Kane and Son were totally complicit in that 22/23 season where we conceded 63 goals in the league. They were shocking defensively.

Now give me a younger Kane and I'll build a very strong case for him defensively. That 16/17 season where Poch conceded 26 goals and Harry was as instrumental as anyone for that lean defensive system whilst also creating and scoring. In some ways, you just know that Richi and Solanke have very strong defensive attributes. We wait to see whether they can score at a higher frequency, even if we know deep down we're unlikely to see another Harry Kane for a while. Frank with a 25 year old Kane would be in another gear.
