What will our forward line be against Brentford do we think?


Presumably Tel and Richarlison start. Gallagher in the 10? Who's on the right?

Tonali and Fernandes can chip in with goals. Fernandes didn't play on Saturday? Is he injured?

Our bench might be important. Bentaleb, maybe Kudus even Kulu?

We are not a settled side yet. Of course. We'll need to hustle some results short term. At least we'll have time in the week to prepare and develop. But we shouldn't expect too much too soon.

If we don’t make any further signings then I think we’ll see:

Tel————-Richi———Kudus
—————-Gallagher
——Fernandes——-Tonali

If Kudus isn’t yet fit enough to start then I think he’ll play Porro there with Spence behind him.

Our pre-season started off very well. We made major moves early. Now nothing for weeks and our Foward line has had NO imporovement. We are two weeks from the opening of the season and we have none of the injured players back. And we have signed Zero forwards whilst releasing Lankshear who already has a goal to his name.

Sign a forward already.

For me our Forward line has gone backwards.

If Kudus isn’t yet fit enough to start then I think he’ll play Porro there with Spence behind him.

Porro starting would be my preference. He and Spence should be on high after the WC. Porro one of the few players with an eye for goal and a decent shot. With Spence behind our right wing would be formidable.

Surely the other way around? I know Spence is the better defender, but offensively Spence is a driving runner, whereas Porro's superpower is his deep crosses. If Porro is too advanced, we lose the power of those diagonal crosses.

Doubt Porro or Kudus will be match fit, and RDZ hasn't seemed to be eager to risk senior players.

I suspect Gray will start first game as RB, Gallagher in 10, Fernandes/Tonali pivot, the question is who in RW (feel this needs to be incoming player)

For me our Forward line has gone backwards.

It’s the worst forward line we’ve had in the PL era. The bookies have us finishing in the top 6. I can only assume they are working on the assumption that we will sign some quality forwards because we ain’t getting there without some signings. I don’t foresee us jumping 11 places in the table with our current front line.

Do not hold your breath on that being true, a couple of lost games will bring the usual suspects out saying how our players are crap.
