Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I honestly do not understand how anyone can be taken in by him. A total charlatan, who clearly has very little interest in the things he purports to care about and no mind for detail whatsoever, never mind not having the temperament to deal with scrutiny or criticism. He would make a terrible PM, but fortunately for the country that is never going to happen.
It will be interesting to see what direction Reform takes when he's gone. A vacuum can be dangerous but if Yusef takes control (which would be the natural succession given he is a director and funder of Reform UK as a company) I'll actually be less worried as he is so ludicrous anyway and it would lead to more dissent in the ranks. Jenrick will be looking for the leadership role but he has too much Tory baggage in his wake imo.
A deal of some kind with Restore might be on the cards, which would hoover up elements of the electorate that are currently being split but without Nige at the helm I think anything Right of the Tories will remain as disparate splinter groups.
That's not to say they should be ignored however.

The thing is, you can argue about how other politicians fair in front of camera and in public viewing, some are really really poor at it on so many sides of the political divide BUT what you really can't take away from many is that they genuinely want to make a difference and have the nations interests at heart, not all, but many do.

I don't for one minute look at Farage and think he has national interests at heart, not for one second do I ever think that.

As for someone like Zia Yusuf I have no idea what he is but he is quickly turning into one of the most dangerous voices out there currently. Some of the utter crap he comes out with........just wow

Seem a lovely bunch

I think that’s called Common Assault. Potentially Actually Bodily Harm. Hoping there won’t be any two tier policing and the perpetrators will be arrested.

What need is there? Where does this need for self sufficiency end- national, regional, community or personal level?

Should we all know how to do everyone else’s jobs?

I don't think it's a bad thing for a country to be self sufficient, less susceptible to shortages, climate change, power supply, pandemics, war etc.

“I wasn’t listening…”

Oh and we didn’t commissions the polls.

National anthem and Hymns to be sung at School pledge by reform.

Thats just what the education system needs
I’m proud to be English.
But if I had kids I would not want them being obliged to sing hymns (unless I had sent them to a religious-based school in which case that would be par for the course and a choice I had made) nor being obliged to sing our national anthem unless we get one that is not endorsing royalty. That does not mean I am not patriotic.
It’s just so much dog whistling. I doubt a single Reform politician actually knows any hymns nor the national anthem beyond the first verse. I would love to hear them being asked this in interviews.

Zia Yusuf is a really nasty bastard. There's real hatred pumping through his veins.
