Hassan Piker would be the most well known on the left. I don't know half the names you've mentioned so couldn't really com. The left wing loonies are more heavily influenced by reddit and forums though to be fair. Right Wing independent media is more prominent because there is a bigger market for it compared to the corporate alternative.

I agree its very strange. I don't doubt this guy had mental health issues but lets be honest we would not be hearing about that from certain posters of Jeremy Corbyn got his head caved in.

I don’t get the - largely English, it seems to me - obsession with where people were educated (‘Are they any good at their job?’ seems the more pertinent question), but 72% state educated ministers is actually significantly down on the number in Starmer’s cabinet (92%…which is perhaps were your target figure comes from?).

The reality is that the job needs higher pay to attract the best but the public won't allow it. So we are resigned to careerist idiots.

It's about equality, diversity and representation.

92% of the population are state school educated, therefore 92% of cabinet (or boards of directors etc.) should be the same. Otherwise it's not a meritocracy, and you are getting the thickos who had to buy privilege running things (see the failure of government 2010-24) instead of the most capable people.

Also why term limits in the US are a non starter. What high achieving person is going to commit themselves to a 8-12 year career where they don’t even get paid that well.

It should be about ability and intelligence. The thicko's who bought privilege are no worse than the thicko's who wasted their education opportunities.

Would you apply the same ratio's to the Spurs first team, should it be made up based on the demographic percentages in the fanbase? I don't think we'll get very far with a team of overweight coke heads.

Ideally everything in the UK should be roughly 50% male/female, 85/15% white/non-white and 92/8% state/public. Then everybody is winning and society is functioning at its optimum
 
Is centre politics just absolutely dead now in the eye of society?

It doesn’t seem to matter what happens, everything just becomes “oh the loony left” or “oh the racist right”. No one actually seems that bothered now about the actual issue central to the debate, just making the point that ‘the other side’ did something. Everything has to be black or white now.

It’s almost like a bunch of powerful people had it their way for a long time and decided that the best way to keep it that way was to divide society and make them blame each other so they could continue unnoticed.

Much of politics is binary. Nationalisation vs privatisation, freedom vs utilitarianism, individual vs community.

Those tensions are as old as time

It just needs respectful disagreement - that's what has been damaged since the late 70s
