You should get to where you are trying to get. But I should remind you I was born in England. Anyway go stick your head up Tommy Robinsons ass you brainwashed Pakistani hating knobhead

ouch. Don’t hate the failed country that is Pakistan in any which way. I feel bad for the people, that their liberties, religious tolerance and stone ages practices are inbred in them now. Which was once a progressive society is now a brick stain on anyone who wants to live with any sort of freedom or justice.

And yes I do know my grandparents are from Gujjaranwala, Pakistan.

We need tax rises. For 15 years the parasite class have bleed everything out of public services and workers. That drastically need rebalancing. Whacking up income tax whilst dropping NI will do tremendous good.

The issue is that there will be tax rises but that money won't be spent on anything that makes a material difference, there's talk of removing VAT on electricity bills which is fine but if people are paying more tax to fund it then it's mostly just balancing out.

Really there needs to be proper wholesale reform of our tax system, it's just been cobbled together over the years with loads of anomalies that need sorting out.

I think this is important. How our moeny is spent is the issue. Many of us are privileged enough to be ok with taxes but we see the wasted money on the royals and other red tape nonsense you wonder how it cna be fixed.

The reality is that it needs to fall down and be rebuilt for any genuine change and nobody is ready for the pain involved

Agree.

Personally I would abolish NI and move it all into income tax. Abolish council tax, stamp duty and inheritance tax and replace it all with a land value tax (say something like 2% of value annually). And set capital gains at the same level as income tax.

And then shift spending massively to infrastructure (esp green energy) and preventative health and social care (early interventions, social prescribing and far less drugs). I would ban public money being used to subsidise private businesses (working tax credits, winter fuel, academy schools etc) without a gradual transfer back of ownership.

100% on board with this mate

About 1 a day get released by accident.
I know, but that doesn't get highlighted (and it should be, as it is obviously a problem).

Came back to post that apparently the released prisoner is not an asylum seeker after all.
I see Pippa Crear has taken down her tweet and issued a correction.

Yeah. My view is from a pulbic safety perspective, a convict is a convict. It amkes us less safe. Now if the foreign convict was in jail for selling weed, and the British born one was a pedo, the public would damn well be more scared of the latter. But at the moment it's focused purely on dehumanising all immigrants as dangerous. And it's scary.

I think the NHS and country could save billions by just focusing on peoples health and maintaining a good weight with a decent diet. I put on some weight and got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a year ago and it was a big wake up call. I've read up loads since and totally changed my diet and lifestyle approach and it's amazing how many issues are all connected to your weight and exercise. Doesn't mean everyone has to be pumping weights daily and drinking avocado smoothies but just a little change would really go a long way and I think we need much stronger regulation on food standards and new policies towards exercise. Amazing how much crap is in all the food you eat when you start reading the labels and junk food is literally everywhere, you can't avoid the stuff.

That, and exercise, are counter to how the world propels us. Convenience, not enough time, must work more, losing money, wasting time...it's all gonads really because you're right, even modifications in the direction of diet and exercise are huge. I had a similar wake-up call about 13 years ago, and took a front-foot initiative on healthcare, prevention and taking control of what I can.

I've said before....food education and nutritional education are black holes in the school curriculum. (That's where it needs to start)

And Id say 80% of 'food' on the supermarket shelves is a pile of brick.
