Christians do not follow the laws of the Old Testament. Jesus established a new covenant which is essentially the entire purpose of the Christian faith. Crucially as the chief prophet of the Christian faith, he did not marry a child either, which is kind of a big difference here.

Mormons are not recognized as Christians by other denominations. Although for the most part very nice people, as are most Muslims.
But in both cases, many of their teachers are incompatible with a modern western society.
