Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Who were the previous sh1t? I grew up in that part of East London as a Jew, is that reference to me and my kind because it was heavily Jewish back then?? In fact I still live in Havering which given the front of the bus destination being "Barking" is part of that area and I can tell you around this area there are still very much large swarths of White Faces. If it was in Newham part of the route, 30% white, not that you need to be white to be British either
It was a brick hole back then and is even worse now. Barking used to be as rough as nails but now is a different type of brick hole. That along with Havering used to be a no go zone for me as a kid for a different reason, and now it’s a no go zone as it’s now just a cesspit like Newham, Ilford and tower hamlets.

No go zone hahahahahahah

No go zone hahahahahahah
I mean you can laugh growing up as an Asian kid, Barking and havering was skinhead territory and the kids around then were not friendly either. Now I drive through it and look at how grown men are wearing trakkies acting like they are in gangs. I prefer my surrounding in Chiswick.

How old are you out of interest?

Chiswick is nice, I'm in West London now too :)

I was born in 84 and lived in Hornchurch/Upmisnter area for 30 years. I appreciate this was one of the more affulent parts of Havering, but saw plenty of the likes of Dagenham and Barking and a lot of those parts could be considered dodgy but not anything drastic like no go zones IMO and wasn't there large Asian communities in these areas? It certainly didn't feel that bad to me, but I'm not at licence to tell someone else how they feel....

Not in barking proper, on the other side was ilford lane, which has always been an absolute dump.

Ilfords always been a massive Asian population, I played cricket against many a side there, good people, good community people.

In my 40s, lived East London, to Essex, Wallington in South and now In Havering and nothing in any of those areas were no go, had loads of Asian and West Indian mates from East London and I don't remember swarths of skin heads roaming the streets, although there were a few NF events in Tower Hamlets granted, but wasn't a day to day issue.

Always loads of people playing the "London's dead" card
