It’s amazing how many of you have the Gaul to talk like that about Christianity, with some points being valid, but none have the balls to critique the other faith of peace. It’s quite funny and sad at the same time.

I get it though you could get arrested for it.

Not sure how many times people can say all religion is hateful and dangerous at the core of its scriptures?? Literally been said all week on here

The point is, like you say, if you are going to call it call it everywhere, so you are on the same page as everyone else, without likely knowing it.

If you are going to call out Islam, I think best not to cosy up to Catholicism like its a massive point to be scored, because we all know its not

Oh I think it’s all balls did I cosy up to it?, definitely missed everyone piling in like the posts about other religions. My bad.

In my view I actually think the pope the popes history is a massive fraud.

Definitely have a massively history of noncery in that denomination of christianity …. The only saving grace is Jesus, the leader, didn’t participate in being a paedo, or set the example of it.

I think that's directly linked to migration from places like Poland, Philippines and Nigeria. I don't think anyone is actively converting to Catholicism because CoE is too liberal

BUT not all religion is hateful and dangerous at the core of its scriptures.

Which core scriptures of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism etc are "hateful" and "dangerous"? Can you please tell me.

It is a lot to do with immigration from Asia, East Europe and Africa but conversions are at an all time high.particularly among young people. Church attendance has risen from 4% in 2018 to 16% 2024 among 18-24 year olds and majority of that is in catholic churches.

I concur, it would make common sense just see what kind of life the leader of the religion lived and how it has led it to the absolute mess that we live in. What message did the leader send out with his actions etc.

In its fundamental control and decision making on who makes their version of heaven and who doesn't, that by definition is evil to its core. Every religion has its "you are with us and you make it, or you don't and you won't"................thats hateful regardless how much you try and spin in it.

Thats before you deep dive into the whole Old Testament Violence, Selective Law on Slavery, Punishments for Sin, Psalms are acceptance of violence against kids, new testament judgement. That's just for a start.

I think the genital mutilation of Jewish kids without choice (I was one) is hugely questionable. I had no choice as someone who was not even allowed to find out by age and maturity if I wanted to follow that line, no choice though, based purely on religion. Another where however you paint it, its hugely questionable but largely accepted by society

Judaism preaches death to homosexuality so, although we have moved on as a society to realise its a crock of sh1t, the Torah in many passages is hateful and dangerous if taken literally aka the core of its scriptures

Nearly every religion claims violence against non believers to its core scriptures.............so yeah dangerous and hateful

I am off to see my parents for a few drinks and food, but happy to come back to this tomorrow with more time. But you can have that for starters
