Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I probably won’t get death threats for condemning the rape of Catholic kids either. I’ve spelt it out black and white a few times now but he still cannot answer with any intelligence apart from screaming racism and your casual “insults”.

Nobody has given you death threats you massive victim. And the council flat thing is great. I grew up in one. Why is that bad?

what’s made up about that you really are not that smart are you? I’m not arguing with him I was agreeing with him. What a plank you are . Get out of your council flat. I suppose that’s racist too.

Still can’t tell me why criticising a religion is racist. I’ve asked so many times but you being the plank that you are still can’t answer despite spouting verbal diarrhoea and little snipes.

Lol. You really haven't shown me where I've said don't criticise religion. Show me please. Cheers.

“You have trauma from Muslims and blame all of us. That's racism lad.”

That was a post where I was critical of Islam. But honestly I can’t be bothered wasting my time on you anymore.

And nothing with a council flat, you don’t get context do you? You said I need to get out of my basement and I said that about you living in a council flat … you really are special, just a bit.

Anyway last time I DO NOT hate Muslims , but disagree with Islamists and Islamism. Islam cannot coexist with democracy as it specifically calls for sharia and that opposes democracy. Hence the nonsense of sharia courts popping up running parallel to British courts.

Anyone living in any civilised democratic country surely finds sharia grotesque? Surely you can agree with that?

Here we go.

No I didn’t say I don’t like Muslims, I do question Islam as a religion and its leader “Supposedly the best example to man kind”. Thanks for free speech that I can have an opinion on it, and any other religion of my choosing.

Have you actually seen the video where Tommy Robinson has condemned this?

Of course you are going to get idiots. . But to simply say look at this now tell me, it’s highly illogical. I thought you were smarter than this mate.

That’s like me saying keep going as we are and Pakistani rapists and small boat migrants raping girls means all Muslims are bad people.

Also I’m not a supporter of Tommy Robinson, but I’ve seen so much now not by the main media and his interviews outside of it. I know deep down he is not a racist.

Yes I do believe though islamism grates on him and the Pakistani rape gangs cover up don’t help. People have had enough, the media and the government don’t help. It’s quite messy as it is and will only get worse.

I can get you more. The main media has its agenda and it never reports true. All I’m saying is that don’t believe everything that the media tells you.

Are we okay to believe this?

You contradict yourself so much but OK.

Still can’t do it can you? Do you agree sharia can get in the bin in a democracy and modern civilised society? Please with one word either a yes or a no.

Yes = sharia can get in the bin
No = it’s a progressive way of thinking, equal for everyone.

Re the sharia “courts” - I might have this wrong (so happy to be corrected) but aren’t they more councils than courts? They don’t trump any UK laws but are more for dealing with divorce/ separation (from a religious perspective) and certain property issues for example. I think similar exists in the Jewish community and even in the catholic community the church will assist in issues around marriage annulment (again, from the religious angle, not the legal one).

I’ve certainly read of calls for sharia law but I don’t know how widespread they are and I can’t see that the Uk is going to change its laws to accommodate it.
Again, happy to be corrected if my understanding is off.

I think if you google the rights of women in a sharia court you may be alarmed. They do not have power over UK law, but women do not have an equal say in the proceedings unfortunately. For example all a man has to say to his wife is he wants a divorce a few times but she cannot do the same and has to go through a different procedure involving witnesses etc.

Brilliant, so he’s not allowed to protest against rape gangs because he is in control of everyone in the EDL? He left it as in his words got hijacked.

I’m not ignoring anything but obviously you seem to ignore what I’m saying again and again like a person with small man syndrome.

I have the audacity to say whatever I like and if you don’t like it carry on with your little jabs. I’m broad enough to take your petty words with a smile. Enjoy your weekend

I don't think so mate. I really don't. And that's OK. These are weird and vulnerable times. Just take a breath, take a beat, look at the whole picture - not just the small-focus one - and have discussions. People here are generally willing to discuss things. It doesn't have to become a 'I say what I want and have a thick skin', there's no 'winning' here...

...I think the truth is that there are many people on all sides of the social/political spectrum who are feeling vulnerable, anxious, and are wide-open to being played by 'powerful' lobbyists. There are discussions to be had on immigration, health care, the state of the country, absolutely. However serving up 'public panaceas' based on short-focus micro-elements of huge, wide problems is exceptionally unhelpful IMO.

To your point about your background, I think it is a story which carries across many here. We don't know each other. We don't know who has been through what, or who is going through something. Contexts are virtually impossible to apply, so I think it's vital we all apply a little bit of 'deep breath' when engaging on this specific topic.

You can think what you like it’s a free society, and I cannot force you. Hence I love freedom of speech and democracy over anything. Enjoy your Saturday

I have since added a longer part to that post, which I admit offered nothiong constructive. I trust you'll see what I added...

If that makes you feel better about the issues I have about Islamism and Islamists then crack on.

I don’t follow Tommy Robinson, like I’ve said. GHod it’s like flogging a dead horse with you. You seem to have tunnel vision.

So can you tell me how I am racist about disagreeing with a theology.

You got to be even stupider if you believe some of the codswallop written in religion.

I am not religious. I have absolutely no issue whatsoever with the many millions who are and go about their days/lives peacefully. Good luck to them, and I'm genuinely glad they get comfort and support from whatever they follow. IMO, if one goes about life being angry at them, thinking they're stupid and whatnot, then one stands a very good chance of being in perpetual turmoil and anger. Why
