Well maybe not that fast, but a few years ago a 1kw battery cost about the same as I just paid for 5kw battery. I held off getting one then but it was time to take the plunge.If they're dropping fast...I'd have bought it the day before I was ready to connect it
Yeah I have panels, but probably not enough to charge up a battery that size. The trick is to top it up using cheap nighttime electricity.
