The train to Bilbao ain't great beyond the Madrid connection

Yeah we done the reverse for the CL final

It takes 2.5 hrs from San Sebastian to Bilbao....it's only 100km

(Pretty scenic tbf though)

That is a lot of time for some sangria and san miguels though !!

Jet 2 to Majorca on the Tuesday am
Tuesday early afternoon Vuelling to Bilbao
Thursday back with Volotea and then Easyjet

Was the only way we could make it work time wise

That's what I'll be doing.....then flying the wife and daughter down to Spain/France to carry on for half-term.

Booked flights around a week ago. Flying Tuesday morning from Manchester, back on Thursday. Got a hotel around 10/15 mins from the stadium.

Cost was a shocker, however, sod it.

Can you not fly out night before somewhere on the same train line and get the train up in the morning?

Haven’t got enough annual leave sadly.

Takes too long. Going forward I will book flights months in advance and hope for the best.

Booked my flights at half time in the first leg. £400 from City Airport, via Zurich (both ways), which is totally the wrong direction but the connection times are reasonable. Could have got them for half the price on other routes after the Frankfurt game but wasn't brave enought to book them then. Could still have got a bit cheaper if I'd flown from Heathrow but worth it for me to pay a bit more for the convenicence of City Airport.

Just typical that should we get to the final we play yet another English team with a massive fanbase. So two lots of English fans travelling in their tens of thousands looking for flights and hotels.

That’s only as of 6 March but what counts is number of points on your account as of 6 May. But that link will give a fair indication.

My guess is around 210 points will do it.
