His contribution to our defence requires a manager who understands the players he's got and gets the best out of them.

He’s not the best right back in the world. He’s great on the ball but still has his faults defensively and some of them are pretty basic. I’m still delighted we have him.

People last season questioning his effort needed to give their head a wobble. Porro has always worn his heart on his sleeve and always turned up.

There were plenty of times where he bombed forward, we turned it over and he jogged back, that's not good enough imo, you don't go if you can't get back.
