omt tottenham v tromso

This game, like the man himself, lacks any form of excitement. We have great players, they just aren't delivering. The manager seems to have them in manacles. No one busts abut to get in the area. Our build up, one again, is just soooo slow and predictable. Can't see this working against United.

Do you really think anyone is getting much confidence out of this. The blank look on Townsend's face as he congratulated Dembele summed it up.

Nobody gives a toss. The real test is the weekend not this pointless fixture where we've managed to look average against **** poor opposition.

We were OK for about 10 mins around the subs time, but since then have regressed to the mean.

What's really interesting to me is that in the Europa, is that every side we've played has looked exactly the same. Tromso, Anzhi, etc…due to our style of play, they have all looked virtually the same! They've all had chances here and there, none have managed to do anything much, we always pick them off and we always win with a 'fair' degree of comfort…

Bizarre...

The press coverage we would have been getting in the next three days would have been awful if we had lost and would have put more pressure on our players ahead of a tough game on Sunday.

Winning also becomes a habit and particularly when you are in a mini run of bad results and struggling for form, any win will do.

A win.

A clean sheet.

Seven consecutive Europa League wins.

Group Winners.

Sure, there are still problems unresolved, but nothing a bit of time can't fix.

…for what it's worth BTW, in exactly one week, I leave for ANTarctica!!!!! Opposite end of the earth LOL!!!!!!

I have to concur with this…although it was pretty turgid stuff…I find myself having to believe in the long-term...

An important result mentally, but we really need to be clinical with man you and tight at the back like a virgin geisha.

We would have none of that coverage if we send Freund and the kids.
The media hates this competition and would have been right behind the decision.

Can you get Sky Sports?

Down there? LOL, very very limited everything. Satellite on research stations but no wifi, and to be fair, I will be absolutely rooted to the thousands of penguins I look forward to seeing, as well as the other stuff going on down there…put it this way. i won't be updating my Facebook until we're back in Punta Arenas en route home!
