**** OMT Tottenham Hotspur Vs Coventry City ****

Nah, he'll play Tonali as a CB and Davies as a deep playmaker, and Fernandes as a left winger.
Joking aside I actually half expect something like Tonali as the #6, Gallagher as the #8 with Fernandes as the #10, who then gets taken off and RDZ proceeds to continue saying he is not yet ready to start.

Who exactly are these people? I've seen this comment a few times and when i ask who, i get radio silence haha
There are a few in the first few pages of this thread (although to be fair it could all be the same person! I looked at the posts rather than the poster. Trying to minimise my time on here)

Personally, I'm behind RDZ come what may but a failure to win tonight, especially if it's a defeat, and pressure will ramp right up. We'll become the story of the league. Big, big game. Win convincingly and everything will start to feel better.

Dunno what the score will be but I do think we'll do it. COYMFS.

He has to win, at some point it's just results and circumstances/caveats only go so far.

Coventry at home for a guy who is supposed to be a top level manager with the spend we have had, two months into season, needs to be a win.

Chelsea A, Palace H, Leeds A to follow, are all harder fixtures on paper, fail to get a win or two and it will be a 10 game season start without a win and at that point he'd be most likely out.

Yeah this, though I have a feeling RDZ will swap Senesi and Maddison for JpVH and Gallagher.

Have you ever balked at the idea of two very right-footed CBs?

No,because most football players in general are right-footed and right-footed players are more likely to be two-footed.

the best teams that try and play with width and balance tend to have a left-footed LCB and a right-footed RCB but of course it's not a rule set in stone.

I'm all ears to hear about Senesi though

Betfair claiming that we’re the only one of the 92 league clubs without a league win yet this season…is that right?

Better than 2 points from 8. Ask 'Arry

Tonight will be tough, if we can score early everyone might relax a little which should help. I'm nervous
I'm not sure it is. When that happened, we'd spent pretty much the entire time since the advent of Premier League mid-table, with the exception of the two 5th-placed finishes courtesy of BMJ.

Now, we look back on roughly the same period finishing top 8 every time (and usually top 6), with the last two seasons being the only two exceptions. So 3 points from 7 would represent a bigger fall from grace.

Regardless, it's a pretty poor situation to be in. I'm praying for an early goal, no matter how scrappy. Even if it's off Solanke's arse, I'll be celebrating like it was a 60-yard Gareth Bale run fired into the top corner.

Yeah I get it mate. We can’t keep going forever without a result but even if we lose tonight, I’d give him more time. One game can’t be make or break.

I give him until at least end of October and probably Christmas regardless. That said, we lose tonight and the knee jerk reactionary in me might not be quite as reasonable.

We’ve got a few games coming up that look winnable on paper; we need to make hay before we hit a very tricky Christmas and New Year period.
We've lost about 80 of the last 90 games that were winnable on paper. Unfortunately for us, we play on grass. A freshly laid carpet of grass though! Maybe that's the change we needed.
