**** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Brighton****

Great first 30 mins. Tough thereafter but we defended very well. That’s a bloody good result even if it was hard fought.

No terrible performances although Kane looks a bit off it in general play. His passing and ability to keep the ball are nowhere near the levels we’ve seen in the last 2-3 seasons. PEH and Sess the pick for me. Dohertys challenge at the end was insanely good.

I’ll take it happily and move on. Thats not an easy place to go.

Tim Howard on NBC is such an idiot. He's looking at the fact that Brighton had more possession and more shots and ignores that none of them was even remotely close to a high quality chance.
Hey our fans do that regularly
Hugo barely got dirty
They looked the most threatening when Richy gave the ball away
And the ref should have stopped the game for stupid advantages which would have broken up even more of the play

Kane looks a bit off it? Whatever level Kane is at Son is far worse - his all round football game is terrible, his touch and passing was yet again awful. It really does stand out when he is not scoring….

I thought Bentancur was outstanding. Still trying to work out what Richarlison offers, aside from running around like a headless chicken.
No matter how well Doherty plays, I'm not sure it's enough to excuse that beard.

Wouldn’t be surprised to find him crowbarring my car door open later tonight.

Just left, freezing....Great opening the 3-5-2 suited and deserved lead then back in shell. The 343 again 2nd half was bizarre but take the win.

Sess looked decent. Bissouma was rusty as hell but to be expected and the extra body was most definitely an improvement

Second half we were better. Didn't drop off so deep, the team were encouraging each other to push forward. With more pass and move and belief we could have broken through more frequently, but fair play the priority was to stop them scoring after we did. With a changed side and Brighton getting tight all over the pitch we didn't get much time to play. The way Brighton pass around the back was noticeably sharper and more assured than our back line in possession.

A highly professional performance. To win there, after 2 disappointing games and the loss of one of the squad's family is no mean feat.

Good win and good to see some new faces getting minutes and hopefully becoming regular options for us. Especially with some of our better performers looking tired.

We scored
Their keeper had to make the hard saves
Don’t really get how we didn’t deserve it
Maybe I just got really bored but I really don't remember any great saves their keeper made? Regarding deserved, it's just to say if that ball hadn't flicked off Kane's head perfectly we weren't exactly scoring otherwise.

That game looked very much like whoever scored first was winning, but that's just my view. On another day it ends as a 0-0 with neither team really creating much of real consequence.

But all irrelevant, not trying to be a downer on a win. That's all that matters at the end of the day, we ground out a win in non ideal circumstances and in another below par performance. Shows great strength and mental fortitude.
