Does it matter if it hit his arm or not?

It's dangerous play having your head that low.

Not at all.

This one is subtle. There are so many roles on the medical and conditioning side and every player needs to be managed uniquely. A player like Udogie has had 6 muscle injuries and 2 knee injuries, so who is RDZ to tell an expert that his player should play 95 mins? They've worked through a process of giving him 65 mins against Charlton and tested his body's reaction. They then moved him to the bench and give him another 30 mins and once again tested his recovery. Then a week without a game and then thrown back in for another 60-70 mins. Our medical and conditioning team know best on Destiny.

You could go through every player one by one and it would be a very personal situation. We're not in a position where we have a long list of injuries so don't need to take risks.

Yes but when the recommendation is to be overly cautious with every single it’s gone over board. We need to players on the pitch.

--------------------------Kinsky

Porro------- JPVH -------VDV---------- Udogie

----------Fernandes-----------Tonanli

-------------------------------x---------------------

Kudus-------------------------------------------Savio

----------------------------Marmoush

That's the team I ideally want to see next match. Udogie and Robertson are quite interchangable for me. Neither truly convinces if I'm honest. Tonali had a good game imo, but we need more passing quality deep and Fernandes is essential in providing that imo.

The 10 is a conundrum that I don't know if we have a good solution too. Marmoush in the 10nis a possibility but that then involves playing Solanke and id rather not do that if possible.

Bentancur is not getting dropped anytime soon.

VDV's positions on that pass through 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He is certainly looking to hold a high line, but do you care to explain what Tonali is doing there? Robertson? I gave up on him defensively; we lost a lot on the left once Udogie came off, and Forest targeted that side.

The whole passage of play at that point shows that De Zerbi wants us to squeeze up in those moments. Are you saying you think VdV should drop off the moment 31 crosses the halfway line? Please.
The BIGGEST issue here is that our forwards are sitting off, as is Gallagher, and no-one is pressing. I presume this is some ploy to try and suck Forest in so as we can spring them on a counter, but it is poorly conceived. It smacks of small details we're still working out.

We didn't deserve to go a goal down. We've been really good in the last 20.

Saying that, if Robbo thinks that is how a full-back should address that situation by just standing there waiting for a team mate to win it so he can attack again then I don't need that player at my club. A p[layer of that experience should be tucking in, not standing in no mans land.

Tonali didn't cover himself in glory either.

Absolutely this.

Honestly with Tonali I don't mind it so much, he was covering back the space VDV should have been aware of and after having chased that far back I can allow him the fudge up. Id expect better but really it's to his credit that he was even there in the first place.

Robertson? What is he covering? Is there a ghost there? I know you have an agenda to run, so i should probably just back away from this silliness. You'll choose to read any concession as VdV or VH's faults.

It becoming increasingly evident that we have gone all in on an idealistic idea and not thought about certain areas.

Its all well and good binning everyone off and claiming they are "17th fodder" or "bad eggs" but you need some of them and its clear that we don't have the right ingredients based on the new guys alone, even with all fit there is ALOT missing and will be.

The lack of presence up top is clear as day, I think we have likely backed the wrong horses with the back 4 or the formula is not right, both Vans are not great defensively and it nearly killed up today (I get Tonali fcuked it).

Its early days but its clear you don't get the same for your money anymore, I am not expecting the moon but for 75-100m players you want impact ....................... yet to see it

Not specifically aimed at you mate, as I know people are currently saying this, but I have NO sympathy for many who seriously takes that line because some are the same people who said the squad was 'brick' and that 17th two seasons in a row spoke for itself (ignoring injuries and a trophy). Some were even the same people who said two seasons ago that Sonny was finished and shouldn't be playing for us.

We have done two windows of business in one, and I suspect even the players are only just getting used to who is actually still here. It is going to take time to find a click, and RDZ needs to sort out what he is doing.

I think many of us would like to see Marmoush as a deeper '10' with Solanke as our CF, Savio on the left and Kudus on the right. That would be good. Better still would be Deki returning and being able to play in that 10 and perhaps allow Marmoush off the left and Savio on the right with Kudus as an option. It seems clear to me that against stodgy physical sides like Forest, Gallagher will start. As @Bedfordspurs and you have said, a lot has been spent and we're still getting to grips with the parts and how to use them. I think the overall key for me is whether there is any improvement week-on-week. So far, I believe there has been (albeit the standards set by that horrorshow at Brentford were low).

Today we got a clean sheet and looked very solid until Udogie went off and...wait for it...Tel. The latter works very hard and we simply did not have that solidity on the left for the final 25 mins. People can knock Tel all we want, but that shirt is up for grabs and it is absolutely up for somebody to come along and take it; which will include off the ball work too.

The concern for me is how long we will need for things to click versus finding goals in this team and fast. Seeing the levels of impatience rising at warp speed every week makes me fear that patience for process is thin on the ground. I get the frustration and I get the concerns too re: spend v results. And it is a fact that such churn takes time to settle.

Again thanks @MartyFunkhouser for providing me a springboard to put this out as general conversation.

And if you can’t buy one in the window, register the one you have left afterwards.

It is my one criticism of De Zerbi right now. You have to make it work with who you have, and 11 goals is not something you can pass off so easily. FWIW I think this is precisely the sort of game where he comes off a bench and scuffs one in. Still, no point thinking about it now...he's not available...anyway, aren't most people happy about that (not me for the record)?!!!!!

OK so I didn't watch the game and get as frustrated as those who did watch. But really, some people need to find their nearest dealer, buy a £10 bag and chill out. An away draw is ALWAYS a good result. We had a fantastic window but at least one player escaped us. So we ain't quite there yet. Relax, we've got some fantastic players and a great coach. It will happen, but it will take time. The modern world - especially in the UK where digital uptake is high but the economy is pretty "off" - lacks patience and perspective. So chill folks, just keep supporting and leave the whinging to adolescents who haven't learned any better...

Maybe. But I’d argue it’s cost us points. And nothing builds match fitness like playing actual matches.
We have loads of players that would argue it added to our injury crisis. We have no European football so might as well our overpriced squad and let players get fit

Are we related?!!!

The pressure on RdZ if we’re waiting for injured players whilst he has us playing very ponderous football is gonna be huge

I get that but he's in a better place now with better players but the football is worse without Danso, Spence, Richy, Radu, Bergvall, and Gray, so he should be able to create chances that don't require a long ball from Kinsky.

The difficulty is how to express concern, for example RBZ has my absolute backing 100%, so any talk is on here generally for talk sake and also because we like it, I am not impatient (I know it was not specifically aimed at me) but you do wanna see more green shoots IMO, that doesn't mean I have given up on the project, its just there are some concerns.

The best way I can say it is........we look like a puzzle that is yet to be worked out
