Really hope we can end this poor run v them today, but not sure that is the line-up to do it. As has been mentioned, looks a little light in midfield. But hey, who knows. May have to settle for a point

So many players out. Where is Dier!

So we have both our left backs still not fit. And three central midfielders.
 
Davies, Rose, Dier and Sissoko all on the bench. So Dier and Sissoko are too tired from Madrid then ?

And why have two unfit left backs on the bench.
 
No idea how that team would work - but COYS!!!!

Liverpool seem to have had a "West Ham Cup Final" mentality against us in recent years. We'll need to all give 100%, but if we do then we have a good chance.

I just think that is teams sitting back against us and our typically slow start to the season.
 
I'd prefer JV at left back and Aurier playing the Sissoko role as a sort of tucked in, breaking midfielder in front of Trippier. Otherwise I just don't like the look of it but hey, who are we to question Poch.

It's not a balanced line up

I have to say that is one weird selection. Our only two left backs both on the bench, 2 right backs start, no defensive midfielder:confused:

Hope I'm wrong but with that team I fear a thumping defeat
