I think we are better tbh, we are dog brick with the ball the last couple of years but let's be honest this team still has Bentancur in it today and Gray. It's improved but we were sooo bad that all that improvement just took us to normal standard levels not anything beyond that.

Having those two in the side still should not be an excuse, not with the money and work done. This is marginally better, I think we can raise the bar and expect a little better without being harsh

I think people are overreacting tbh. The expectation is too high, we've made 9 additions to a team that finished 17th and who truthfully awful. There's no way that it was going to click quickly and play our smoothly.

I think we're playing quite well.

We're creating and spending periods of time in the final third.

It's way ahead of anything we've served up for a couple years.

I agree that it can be better but not on match day 2 imo. I think I've said in a number of threads I really don't expect things to click anytime soon. We've made too drastic a change for it to work quickly imo


For me I just need some signs of the future and then the baby steps towards them is fine for me. Watching this game, I think it's easily better than the vast majority of performances we put in over the last 2 seasons and that's without even being especially good as yet.
