Their game against Chelsea wasn't chaotic. While there was a clear quality deficit they were solid and frustrated Chelsea for large parts of the game. I do feel that if they employ the same tactics we will struggle to create chances without Maddison and Kulu and our defensive frailties will give them a big chance at least once in the game. They were also impressive against Bilbao who are a very good team. Just struggle to see us winning 2bh.

I am starting to side with this, they will be happy to let us have the ball as we are going to lack a creator and hit us on the break

Yeah it's more that their defence is better than ours and while I feel like our ability to attack is superior when Maddison and/or Kulusevski are in the team, without both I feel like that's the leveller they need to be favourites. We will 100% gift them a big opportunity in the game at least once. Maybe twice. We always do. So we are looking at needing to score 2 or 3 times against them to win. And without Madds/Kulu, can see them frustrating the sh** out of us without any real consequence. Our biggest chance is to score first and early so that they don't settle and push forward leaving spaces that we don't need creativity to exploit.... if they score first we are stuffed....

You have a very different opinion to what constitutes "bloody great" than I have:
- Porro: good going forward, not a full back, positionally woeful at times, poor defender overall.
- Romero. Good defender 90% of the time, but prone to daftness/rash decisions and tendency to switch off in defensive situations when it counts. Season littered with costly errors. But great passer out that helps our attacking play.
- VDV. Not a great defender, turned very easily and not great in the air. But lightning quick and great at bringing the ball out.
- Udogie: still learning his trade. Was playing as a wing back before he came here. Better defensively than Porro but still far better at being a threat to the opposition than he is at nullifying the opposition threat.


Am I being unfair?

I get you what to moan and hate but at least be factually correct and relevant
Unless of course you think the defence we will be playing in the final is The one that’s played in all the games you refer too

Hmmm....factually correct is we have the joint 5th worst defence in the league. We have kept 12 clean sheets this season. And our first choice defence didn't play in most of them.......

Yeah our first choice defence has barely played together
But when they do, we do well
It’s a fact
You keep on talking about the league but not including all the other games we have played this season
And that defence… despite what you may think has been very good together even in the league
I would go to the effort normally of finding the data for you, but TBH I think you have made your mind up regardless
