We have now played an equal amount of draws in 4 games as we did at Wembley for 15. Statistics don't lie! Anyway, 4th and a CL final exceeds my expectations for the season by a margin. A fair few players has disappointed a bit as the season went on, but a lot of it can be due to the squad being paper thin. Sissoko player of the year, from constantly playing sh*t to never playing sh*t, that's some progress. Son 2nd, Vertonghen 3rd. Honourable mention to Harry Kane, just for being Harry Kane.

Let’s not forget that we only got fourth becuase three other clubs had a total meltdown too. Yes, we’ve had a very good cup run and yes, it happens to be in the most exciting and prestigious cup competition possible.

But other than that, we’ve been brick for a good couple of months, and it’s difficult to believe that a good rest for everyone involved is going to be a panacea.

100% agree.

It’s a worry a) as Poch must be tinkled hence all the leaving noises and b) doesn’t bode well for next season.

A much needed refresh of the squad will hopefully refocus everything.

Whilst I do not disagree with what you say when you factor in how well we did the first half of the season with the disruption to the side in the second half then I think we thoroughly deserved 4th minimum. I'd imagine we hardly played the same 11 players in the last 12 games which obviously has an impact on performance.
