***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v Emirates Marketing Project***

It's a contact sport though isn't it? Is every piece of contact a foul?

Obviously we were terrible, and I don't know what was going on in Hugo's head today, so obviously we have to be happy.

How would you feel if that was Zabaletta on Kane?

Phew.

We looked slower than City to the ball, all over the field. I wonder if it's the bigger pitch that we're still having major issues with - because our pressing cues seemed all wrong. City players got the ball and a simple turn would bring them into acres of space, while our lads looked laboured by contrast and on their heels a bit throughout. Then we'd be forced back into our own box as City executed a simple rush forward, and it would take desperate defending in the six-yard box to stop them.

That was the pattern of the game. But *what* nerve, what steel, what fight the lads showed! To come back from 2-0 down with your captain and keeper having conceded two calamitous goals that seemingly put paid to all that desperate defending in the minutes prior...that takes heart.

We were lucky to get away from here with a point. But a point, we did get - and a valuable point at that. Lloris made errors, but his blushes were spared - the defense looked shaky (and got shakier still once Toby went off) but *juuust* about held. And our attack was consistently starved of service, but kept their heads in the game to score two off two good chances as the hapless Bravo flapped at the ball.

It's a good, good point. We weren't great, and City will feel hard done by - but we showed fight and heart, and we got the point that could be vital in the aftermath. Yeah, Chelsea could go nine points ahead and Arsenal could go ahead of us...but let's not forget that Arsenal lost at City and are only playing Burnley this weekend, and Chelsea will have their own tough away days yet to come. Plus, we increased our lead over 'Pool and kept our lead over United intact - nothing to scoff about.

they make out like its a big talking point. But it happens all the time. Nudges before a shot, slight kicks.
The fuss they're making you'd have thought without the nudge it was a certainty Sterling would have scored, but ffs he still had Lloris to beat and the world and his wife knows what a lousy finisher he is.

Why is it that when Arsenal drew at Bournemouth they snatched a point, but we drew at City and have deemed to have dropped 2 points?

Hideous performance by Lloris. Luckily the boys showed character and determination to fight back. Winks is now officially first team material. However he needs to work on his stamina and upper body strength.

I hope the Lloris mistakes don't hide the fact every single Spurs player was woeful today

Yes and when batter teams but they somehow get a 1-1 result or similar they showed grit and determination.

i'm incredibly frustrated, had we brought the performance of recent weeks we could have won

You have to credit City too though, they played with a plan to press and force mistakes, it worked. But for Hugo playing like a qunt today, we' have won. He's won us enough games in the past though, so eh, phuck it. An undeserved point, might yet be crucial.

We were let down by the tactical selection today. Wimmer didnt look comfortable in the 3-4-2-1. Kept making the wrong decisions. Then for some reason, Poch had Alli and Erikson forward pressing City's fullbacks!! We are away not at WHL!! The pitch is more wider. Guardiola of course anticipated this and set up the 4 behind Aguero to take advantage of this. We looked much better once we switched to the tactics that we used earlier this season against them. Even with that, Kane didnt turn up!
