***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa, Sun May 3rd, 7pm, Villa Park ***

Sonny Walters
One down, four to go.
We showed some proper guts to grit out the result at Molineaux, and let's face it, nothing about Sunday is going to be pretty.
We have no-one fit who can properly pass other than Porro and Kinsky, we do have a battery of hustlers and battlers in midfield, we have a centre-forward who can scuffle an ugly goal if we can create ugly chances, we have one of the best throw-in merchants in the division with Super Kev.
Sunday is about thugging it out.
Doing the dirty work.
Grafting to build up that dirt under our fingernails.
This is going to be about winning battles and balls off arssses. Penalty box skirmishes with us forcing issues to our advantage. Winning the set-piece battles. making sure we hustle hard and ugly to win those second balls.
I think DeZerbi knows seige mentality and I believe he will be stuffing us full of it...because yes, we have been brick, but I defy anyone to even still be in with a shout of survival after the injuries to our key players this season, many of which have never been on the pitch at the same time (Solanke and Kudus for example, maybe one or two games tops?).
It's bolllllox.
The rhetoric is bolllllox.
fudge everyone.
They don't like us we don't care.
They want us down, well lads, that's the fuel to Army of Darkness our way through this!
COME ON YOU FUCCKKKIN' SPURS!

Dinosaurs everyone of them, none of them had their own blog site or X account, they may even liked playing football.

Great stuff, would also add Bentancur can pass well.

My team;
-----------------------Kinsky-------------------------
Porro------Danso------Van der Ven---Spence
--------------Palhinha--Bentancur------------------
Bergvall--------Gallagher---------Tel-----
------------------------Muani------------------

*Udogie for Spence if fit.

Team I think RDZ will play;
------------------------Kinsky------------------------
Porro-------Danso----Van der Ven---Spence
------------Bentancur---Bissouma--‐--------
Muani------------Gallagher------------Tel---
---------------------Richarlison----------------

0-2 (Muani, Tel)

Is there something to be said for packing the midfield in a narrow 4-3-2-1? I know it's a change of formation so unlikely but the amount of times we've seen Villa play 1 or 2 passes through the middle to create simple chances against us spooks me.

So little magic in the team. We have to hope we get luck in my view. Villa are a well drilled unit. We are not.

Just don't get to excited post Wolves I feel.

And someone needs to break Matty Cash.

I've listened to 4 pods this morning, including our own GG pod.
Because Richie can't run, nor hold up play, nor magic some tricky skill... and because Tel can't cross... nor Muani... and Muani doesn't fancy it... and Gallagher in the 10 can't pass... we really are a bit screwed if we think we can play 4231 with a decent attacking front 4 playing good football.

So it seems the plan is to stodge it up a bit, cause chaos, hope something goes in off an arse, maybe Owen Goal will score etc.
So we probably need battlers and fighters, as slick football ain't gonna happen.

Good news is, we have hardly used Gray and Bergvall for a while, nor Sarr and they are decent players capable of Prem level football sometimes.
It's not like we're putting Gary Doherty and Andy Booth up top with Rasiak on the bench.
Sooo many Prem goals come from chaos, fortune, whacking it, windmilling, ping pong sing song big schlong frimpong.

In the words of Mango Mussolini, it's time to "fight, fight, fight"

Hopefully a couple will get injured on Thursday, McGinn and Watkins ideally or maybe Rogers...
They are a good side but defensively not so great especially with a high line that they implement. As soon as we get possession we need to play it in behind their defence and get runners onto it, similar to Brighton where we had the opportunities but didn't capitalise.
