I've never understand the need for pundits/experts/bigheads/bias ex players on TV. We nearly all can see what has happened in the match, do we need to be told what we've just seen?
If we need opinions we can get more than we want at the pub/work/school with the bonus of telling the big mouth they're talking bs.

That's because you've got a brain. Plenty of sheep about.
 
The 1st half we looked a good team and managed to keep focused to the end, the long break derailed us we didn't look so confident and got more nervous and inevitably more defensive which encouraged Everton, their main threat seemed from long crosses which we managed reasonably well.
Without forwards who can be relied on to keep possession midfielders and defenders get more cautious in support play and we saw that in the second half.
It must have been a terrible pressure on the players which many of them have not played the last game of the season needing to avoid defeat.
I'm hoping next season we can have a style of play which is pleasing to watch. Its impossible to know where we might finish but I'd be happy mid-table, positive football and no threat of relegation by the end of March.

Honestly, I think the experience of playing for their lives will benefit some of these players.

They came close to the abyss. They had to claw themselves out of it.

It's a rude wake up call for a group of men who thought themselves a lot better than they turned out to be. But what that does, is also remind you when you're playing for positive pressure (i.e, chasing trophies, titles, European spots, etc.) that it could so easily be so much worse.

You could be fighting relegation. And if you survived that, you can survive the pressure of chasing a late goal to win a trophy, or defending a lead with Europe on the line.

Mentally, this fight could be the making of our lot, if they take the lessons in the right way.
 
Absolutely that @DubaiSpur. I’d think that we’ve created a close togetherness as a squad. Players will fight for each other and have the strength and determination to face any challenge ahead of them.

I actually think that will help us significantly next season and moving forwards.

It’s great too that we ended the season with a strong bond between team and supporters. That disappeared during difficult points of the last couple of seasons but hopefully it can be back to stay.

I'm just going to enjoy a long cold cider in the sunshine... appreciative of that big empty warehouse sized space that has appeared overnight in my brain or mind.

With zero intention of filling it with anything.

I agree with the bond with supporters, the last few years the atomosphere has been terrible. It not easy getting behind the team at times but we need the sort of support at home that we have away, those fans back the team all the way.

We need to create a proper atmosphere when playing the weaker teams
Never happens but it makes a huge difference

It makes it worse when we have to swallow biased commentary loaded with a sensational agenda narrated by people who have never played the game, have a bias, or a bloke who failed miserably as a manager talking tactics like he is a specialist.
