*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Brentford FC ***

Maybe we'll play the big filthy battling biters for 60 mins and try to hold Brentford back so we're only losing by 2 or 3.

Then bring on the passers/ballers for the final 30 Odobert/Tel/Xavi/Muani.

Who am I kidding, Frank will wait until the 80th minute to bring them on.

I guess you're being somewhat tongue in cheek?

I will be curious to see how we approach this game. Against Villa for example we remained rather cautious with the game being levelled, throwing everyone forward at the end when behind.

As long as the game is level are we playing to beat the other lot or being cautious or careful not to go behind?

Starting lineup will be interesting in that regard too. Particularly the midfield composition. Could argue that our approach away from home has worked well, approach at home not so much. The approaches away and at home have been quite similar really. Time to take a different approach at home?

Quick important question - are the pies at the High Cross any good? Taking the father in law today and was going to stop off there en route!

fudge, it's today! I had somehow blanked this from my mind.

I hope we start:
Vic
Spence, VDV, Romero, Udogie
Bergvall, Gray, Simons
Kudus, Muani, Tel

I like Porro, just sick off seing us only play the ball to him, so let's get Spence in there to force us to mix it up, haha. Also, that midfield isn't realistic at all and probably wouldn't work at the moment, but it would be interesting (in theory) to see it.

That's very similar to what I would go for. But what's your logic of starting both Tel and Kudus on their unpreferred sides?

Brentford to have 60% possession 8 shots 3 on target by half time.

We will have 1 shot 0 on target and 40% of the ball.

Are people giving free tickets away this weekend? 🤣 wouldn’t mind going if they are.

I think it’s going to be a tough match. Aren’t all home matches these days. But this one will be a special one I hope.

Well they certainly are for us!
  • Tottenham have won just three of their 16 Premier League home games in 2025 (D3 L10), their lowest win rate across a calendar year in their league history (19%). Meanwhile, their 10 home defeats this year is also a joint-high for the club along with 1994 and 2003.
  • Tottenham have lost their last three Premier League London derby matches, last losing more consecutively between March and October 2021 (5). They’ve lost each of their last four such matches at home, never in their league history losing five in a row.

When I looked a while back the cheapest were £60. But when you add in Petrol, Parking, ULEZ charge and Food its near £250 for the two of us, and I am sorry, whether its classed as being a poor supporter or not, we are not playing well enough to substantiate spunking that much hard earned wages on a live game, so close to Christmas too!

Someone from here kindly offered me a free ticket. I won’t name who but I appreciated the offer. Unfortunately as you have said, the other costs quickly stack up. Train return journey from here is £85, when I couple that with my job ending in 2 weeks, unfortunately that and a late night event last night meant that it wasn’t a realistic option no matter that I was keen to go, and would love to be there.

I greatly appreciated the offer, it was very kind, and maybe if circumstances were different.

Decided to stay home and watch it, can't be bothered to make the relatively short journey.

If anyone is able to get there and wants a ticket message me.
